12 Items You NEED If You’re Hosting Thanksgiving

Hosting a big holiday dinner can be super daunting. You need to keep your guests happy, you have appetizers and seating charts and fine china to think about, and, of course, there’s the actual meal to cook. It can be a lot of stress, but the rewards of bringing your family together are (most of the time) well worth it.

Below is a list of things that will make your entire Thursday more enjoyable…especially if you take my advice and drink while you’re working.

#12. Pyrex Storage

If you’re like me, you’re chronically terrified that you either won’t have enough food for everyone, or enough leftovers for those sandwiches everyone always wants a few hours later. Since you’re going to need a way to store everything in the meantime, don’t be caught frustrated by your old tupperware and those annoying missing lids! Buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2fn7rjS

#11. Relish Tray

Your guests are going to want to munch while you put the finishing touches on dinner, and this tray is a way to keep appetizers and snacks organized and looking snazzy on the kitchen counter or table. Buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2gjhGEJ

#10. Cards Against Humanity

What better way to bond with your family and friends than with a nice, wholesome card game before you send them on their way?

Well… Cards Against Humanity may not exactly be wholesome, but it is hilarious, and it will definitely bring everyone together. Guaranteed. Buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2fPfIgY

#8. A Turkey Baster

No, it’s not the same as the thing you use to clean your kid’s nose out when they have a cold (although maybe it could pull double duty, depending on how big his nostrils are).

Listen, even if you think it’s a luxury when cooking a turkey…it’s not. Not if you want your bird to be nice and moist, anyway! Buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2fn2E1K

#7. Earplugs

If the booze doesn’t put you out, you may need to invest in some earplugs to get a good night’s sleep with so many people in the house (or with the kids sleeping in your room).

They’re nice to have on hand for traveling, as well. Buy it on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2ghU2YX

People need to be cozy as they doze off, digesting their meals in front of football.
