What did people do before Twitter? How did people let everyone know every single thought that passed through their minds? I don’t remember (even though I should), but it must’ve been an awful time to be alive. But we don’t have to worry about that anymore, now do we? That’s why the Great Candy Corn Debate of 2017 is playing out before our eyes online.
Why does the public get so up in arms about candy corn? I personally could take it or leave it. If it’s in front of me, I’ll most likely help myself. If the sweet, waxy candy is not present, I don’t worry about it. But I guess I’m the exception, friends.
Seems like everyone with an Internet connection is weighing in on the contentious issue. There are plenty of folks in favor of candy corn, as you might expect.
And then there are those that think the Halloween treat is absolutely revolting and should be outlawed.
One thing is certain: this debate will continue to rage for the rest of the month until Halloween, it’ll subside for a year, and then we’ll pick up right where we left off next fall and resume arguing. What side do YOU fall on?
