It’s been an incredible year for fact-digging here at DYK.
And all 6 million or so of you been a huge part of it, so I rounded up your 10 favorite facts from the year that brought the word “post-truth” into the lexicon:
#10. November 18: The “Devil’s Bridge”
#9. April 4: Sprout Pencils
#8. March 22: The useless muscle test
#7. August 14: This big AF “Big Apple” cat
#6. June 14: Germany’s power glut
We got a few comments when this was first released that questioned the validity of this fact.
Now seems like as good a time as any to remind our readers that we might make a mistake from time to time, but it’s certainly not for lack of trying, and this simply isn’t one of them.
Perhaps this misunderstanding was due to the fact that almost nobody in Germany would have noticed a negative energy price that lasted less than half a day.
But, it totally happened:
#5. January 18: The Ruggie
We don’t like to post a ton of products, and we rarely post Kickstarter products that haven’t made it to market, but this one seemed too good to pass up, and you clearly agreed with us.
The Kickstarter page now updates backers only, but it is still active.
And, they’ve also got an active Indiegogo page with backers who have received the product, and they claim that you can have a Ruggie next month if you order now.
