Flamingos don’t prefer standing on one leg more than the other, but most prefer resting their heads to the right. Studies have shown that left-leaning flamingos are more aggressive and have trouble getting along with the flock- suggesting that, much like right-handed humans, being a ‘right-headed’ bird helps promote social cohesion.
