Medieval ‘vampires’ were recently found buried in a Polish graveyard. While digging up 13th and 14th-century grave sites, archaeologists came upon 3 ancient skeletons of people who were likely thought to be vampires. All 3 had been mutilated and nailed down to prevent them from rising again, but the rest of the corpses in the cemetery were buried with their hands neatly placed on their chests or by their sides.
