There’s a cave in Belize where you can see the remains of ancient Maya human sacrifices- but you have to swim in, wade up a cave river, and crawl through dark, cramped, uneven rock to reach the back of the cave system. There, you can walk among the many corpses of sacrifice victims, including The Crystal Maiden, an 18-year-old whose skeleton is so calcified, it sparkles. Source
