When the town of Phil Campbell, AL, was hit by an EF5 tornado, the Phil Campbells of the world united to help out. In 2011, a group of Phils, who’d met there before at a Phil Campbell convention, visited to raise money and help rebuild after the storm, which had killed 27 people on April 27. The Phils raised $42k, cleaned up debris, and then went home- but they still keep in touch as a support system if a fellow Phil Campbell is ever in need. Source Source 2 Source 3
