If you ever took an art history course – or any class, really, that required you to spend time at a museum or analyze paintings and sculptures – then you’ve probably run across some pretty weird shit. You probably even made some totally hilarious comments to yourself, which is awesome, but the awesome is compounded when you can share your funny quips with the internet.
Which is what this Tumblr account is doing by posting the weirdest, ugliest, and most disturbing portrayals of babies in and around the Renaissance period.
#15. Baby or Angel Gremlin?
#14. These babies have some impressive heads of hair.
#13. If I was that baby I would be more concerned.
#12. I want to know and also don’t want to know what’s on his forehead.
#10. That baby looks straight evil.
#9. Seems legit.
#8. The baby looks older than the mother.
#7. I know this is supposed to be about babies but that hand is straight out of a horror novel.
#6. Is his neck broken? Or?
#5. That definitely resembles a fetus.
#4. I’m pretty sure that’s just a little person and not a baby.
#3. You work out?
#1. That baby has a lot of thoughts.
