Coincidences that can only be explained by sheer dumb luck
Have you ever had a moment happen in your life that really should not have happened based on probability? A moment so unlikely that it made you question the very reality you were living in?
If so, I hope you had your camera at the ready to snap a photo for posterity. Moments like that don’t come around all that often. Everyone on this list happened to have their cameras ready when coincidence struck.
A Near Miss
If a tree falls in a parking lot, does it even hit a car? Well, the answer to that question is usually yes, but in this case, strangely no.
It was really, really close though.
Matching Numbers
Not only did this guy randomly get a number at the Washington Marathon that matched the number on his shirt, but he also finished the race in 3 hours, 36 minutes, and 07 seconds.
What does it mean that all of these numbers matched? Probably nothing, but it sure is odd.
Gone Fishing
This person lost his walled in a lake 20 years ago, and then he caught it while he was fishing 20 years later.
This is what we call dumb luck.
A Perfect Place To Land
This adorable butterfly thought that the perfect place to take a rest would be right on top of the picture of himself on this butterfly spotting guide.
Maybe he thought he was making a friend.
Increasing Spots
This dog had three puppies, and each of the puppies had an increasing number of spots on their rear ends.
The first puppy has one spot, the second has two, and the third has three.
A Close Call
This tree fell across the road after an intense storm. If the tree didn’t have a bend in it, it would have totally destroyed this car.
Luckily for the driver, the tree is a little curvy.
Matching Mountains
The mountain landscape in the photo on the back of this truck perfectly matches the actual mountain landscape that the truck is driving through.
It almost looks like the back of the truck is just a frame around a clear window.
One After The Other
These two cars parked next to each other are exactly the same make, model, and color. Also, their license plates are one letter apart.
They basically came off the assembly line one after the other.
Totally Rekt
What are the chances that a door that says “rekt” on it would be right next to a broken glass door that was actually totally wrecked?
This is kind of cool, even though that broken glass looks dangerous.
A Balloon Mid-Burst
Someone managed to capture a photo of this balloon right as it popped while it was being blown up.
It’s so cool to see how the balloon totally broke apart.
He Matches The Art
This guy visited the Art Institute of Chicago and found that he accidentally matched one of the paintings.

There’s The Moon
What are the chances of this “moon” street sign pointing directly to a full moon?
Full moons don’t come around all that often, and someone had to be at the perfect angle to take this photo.
Fitting For A Blood Bank
This car parked outside of a blood bank has the license plate “vampyr.” Do you think that the person who owns this car is a phlebotomist?
Because that would make a lot of sense.
Awkward Yearbook Quotes
These two must have teamed up when it came to deciding on their yearbook quotes. There’s no way that this just happened by accident.
Plus, these two guys look like they would be friends.
Whoopsie
It’s pretty interesting that this car’s license plate says “whoop c” when the whole rear bumper is hanging off of the car.
Well, that is a real “whoop c” indeed.
A Hero’s Wings
This firefighter climbing up a ladder looks like he has a pair of golden wings, but that’s just because he’s standing in front of a sign with wings on it.

This silver car is stuck behind four white cars that are all the exact same make and model.
