There are some weird things that jump out at you immediately, and some things that you only notice when someone points them out…and then you can’t unsee it.
These “celebrity paradoxes,” when a celebrity is mentioned on a television series or movie and then later appears on the show or another movie (not as themselves) with no mention, definitely fall into the latter category.
Here are 5 – just wait and see if they don’t blow your mind!
5. Marvel and several actors.
There are Marvel movies that mention other films, like The Big Lebowski, Star Wars, and Hot Tub Time Machine.
All of which feature actors like Natalie Portman, Jeff Bridges, Samual L Jackson, and Sebastian Stan, who also appear in the Marvel universe.
4. Absolutely Fabulous and Joanna Lumley.
Both Joanna and her character in Absolutely Fabulous were minor Bond girls.
She was an expert, I guess.
3. The Fast and the Furious and Ludicris.
Paul Walker goes to a house party at Vin Diesel’s where “I Got Hoes” is blaring. That song is, of course, by Ludacris.
Later in the film franchise, Christopher Brian Bridges (aka Ludacris) plays race host Tej Parker.
Mooooooove! Get out the way!
2. About a Boy and Toni Collette.
The main character in the movie, Marcus, says he wishes he could be like that “movie kid, Haley Joel Osment,” but I mean, he kind of was.
Toni Collette played both of their mothers.
I see similar people…
1. Fast and the Furious and Nathalie Emmanuel.
Hobbs and Shaw referenced Game of Thrones, but didn’t seem to notice that the actress who played Missandei is also the hacker he hires. Hmm.
I’m definitely never going to be able to watch these again without noticing these things.
