Dog lovers, listen up and listen good. If you live in New York, you’re in luck – you won’t have to travel far. If you live elsewhere, start planning your trip to the Big Apple to visit…the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog.

Yes! The museum originally opened in 1982 in New York but moved to St. Louis, Missouri just five years later and stayed there for over three decades. But now it’s back home in NYC and will open with a new exhibit called “For the Love of All Things Dog” on February 8.

The exhibit will feature more than 180 dog-themed artworks dating back to the 1800s. There will also be artifacts on display and a library crammed with titles about pooches of all kinds. There will be some fun interactive displays as well.

I’m also pulling for a few live puppers to put in an appearance…

The museum is located at 101 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. Follow the museum’s Facebook page to keep up with all the latest news! Woof!
