A Word to the Wise: Don’t Park in Front of Fire Hydrants

©Twitter

You would think that this would be common sense, but as my Dad likes to say, “common sense isn’t very common.”

Despite what we’ve been told we all started driving vehicles (and those handy signs in the ground), people still continue to park in front of fire hydrants. And if you do, it can end one of three ways: 1). You get lucky and get away with it 2). You get a pricey ticket 3). You get really unlucky and a fire department takes matters into their own hands, which is what happened in this situation.

A driver in Anaheim, California foolishly parked in front of a fire hydrant and, well, let’s just say they paid the price.

The Anaheim Fire Department responded to a call of a residential blaze and found a car blocking the fire hydrant on the street.

Sooooo, they did what they had to do, as you can see from these photos.

Eeesh that is brutal! (but entirely warranted, of course)

Savage. Truly savage.

Did we all learn a valuable lesson here? Good, then my job is done.
