First of all, Steve Irwin is pretty much universally loved – also he’s dead, which means taking aim at him now that he can’t fight back is pretty low behavior.
Second, PETA is no stranger to low (and odd) behavior online.
This time, though, it was in response to this Google Doodle:
They just couldn’t leave it alone.
Luckily, people were ready and waiting to let them know when they’ve gone too far. Like pretty much always.
#17. You don’t even go here.
#16. See what he did there?
#15. Any way you slice it.
#14. Ding ding ding.
#13. Subtle, but nice.
#12. Don’t hold your breath, though.
#11. People have got their number, for sure.
#10. This person wasn’t mincing words.
#9. Cheer on.
#8. At least some good will come of this.
#7. You are alone in this, PETA.
#6. When you piss off the wrong people.
#5. No words necessary.
#4. Spongebob is a good intellectual comparison.
#3. Get out the shame bells.
#2. You take wrong way, wrong road.
#1. Move along.
Seriously, when will they learn?
