Are you a Yellowstone fan? Wish you escape to the Dutton Ranch for a weekend? You can! Just book a stay at the Chief Joseph Ranch.
Yellowstone, Paramount Network’s TV series starring Kevin Costner, follows the life of a family living on the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, just outside Yellowstone National Park.
The series is set and filmed in Montana, and the fictional Dutton Ranch where most of the series takes place is filmed on location at the real-life Chief Joseph Ranch, in Darby.

Chief Joseph Ranch was originally run as a B&B from 2004-2012. Now, when it’s not being utilized for filming, the ranch owners rent out its two cabins to guests who want to enjoy the natural beauty of Montana.
You can book a stay in The Ben Cook Cabin, which serves as Rip’s cabin in season one and Casey’s cabin in season two, or the Fisherman’s Cabin, which serves as Lee’s cabin in season one and two. Each cabin sleeps 8 guests and has a full kitchen and a grill.

Although Kevin Costner won’t be on site for autographs, guests on the ranch can spend their time fishing, hiking, kayaking, and horseback riding through the forest and mountains.
Unsurprisingly, due to filming, both cabins are booked up all the way through 2021.
The site explains,
“In June 2020, Paramount announced that all filming for the Yellowstone series would take place in Montana beginning with Season 4.
This increased local production has created shorter reservation allowances. Chief Joseph Ranch is now completely full with reservations in 2020 and 2021.
The filming schedule for 2022 is not available at this time. Please continue to visit our website for updates and scheduling information.”
However, that doesn’t mean you can’t start planning your dream vacation now! And if you haven’t started watching Yellowstone yet, now it the time.
What would you do first on your getaway vacation to Chief Joseph Ranch?
