I love stories of weird connections. I especially love when someone is talking trash about a person they think is a stranger only to find out in one way or another that they actually do have people in common.
That’s exactly what happened to this radio host who was complaining about a new neighbor.

The host in question was Justin, who co-hosted a the show Brian, Ali, and Justin on 101.1 WKQK, and he’s one of those people who would rather not know his neighbors.

Which is fine, you know? Some people enjoy chatting over the fence or at the apartment mailboxes and some don’t.
That said, complaining about someone else – in this case, new neighbor Sabina – for simply being too chatty (read: friendly) on air is kind of crappy, don’t you think?

Sabina did, which is why she posted the segment (with her reactions) on TikTok. In it, Justin talks about how annoyed he is by her and that she talks too much, going further to say that he found her irritating and that he wanted nothing more than to live in the apartment building in peace.
After her TikTok blew up with millions of views, Justin responded by inviting her on his show to talk it out. He begins by explaining that he doesn’t enjoy small talk and doesn’t want to talk to his neighbors, adding that since he’s 34 and has a girlfriend, he didn’t think chatting up an “attractive” 23 year old appropriate.

For her part, Sabina said she was simply excited when she moved in and hoped to make friends, and when Justin made it clear he wasn’t there to play the Joey to her Rachel, she kept bothering him because she was “honestly just bored.”
The two seemed to have cleared the air, with Sabina doing a followup TikTok explaining that the entire thing wasn’t worth people getting angry at Justin, and Justin claiming that Sabina was really the one who pushed him to be angry about her not respecting his boundaries.

The internet is pretty split, to be honest, because it doesn’t cost anything to be nice to neighbors…but introverts are also allowed to exist, too.
