We’d all like to think that the folks who perform home inspections are good at their jobs but I guess you never know…
And the sad fact is that there are a lot of people out there who take shortcuts in work and in life.
In this TikTok video, a pest inspector asks a homeowner if they had a termite inspection and they said they did. He also asks if the inspection was done by someone the realtor knows and the woman also says they did.
But it’s clear that there is a termite infestation in the home.

I guess the lesson is that you should always get your own termite inspector when you are thinking about buying a house.
One viewer said about what happened,
“That should fall under Theft by Deception.
They have their own guy so he can lie on the paperwork for them.”
Another added,
“A realtor provides options of who to use. Realtors don’t receive kickbacks.
The termite and home inspector are licensed separately.”
It seems like this was a pretty tough lesson for this new homeowner to learn.
