Non-Americans reveal their favorite things about the United States
Usually, other countries express how much they hate America and everything they do. Some of it is fair, and some is unwarranted.
Well, someone on Reddit started a thread asking what people from other countries do like about the U.S.A. Some of their responses are bewildering but very insightful.
How Accommodating Many Places Are To Disabled People
A user pointed out how there are large disabled parking spaces and a lot of ramps for those who need it. Not to mention there’s an amusement park in San Antonio for people in wheelchairs.
Open To Experimenting And Innovation
“I love the innovation in America! SpaceX for example. Literally excites people around the world,” one user said.
Hey, that’s better than what most Americans might think of themselves, but SpaceX is pretty cool.
The Fact That We Invest A Lot In Entertainment
Other countries might love it, but it isn’t too necessary. Turning celebrities into false prophets isn’t that great for some Americans, but if it gets us on the good side of other nations, so be it.
Someone In Hong Kong Likes Our Living Spaces
This isn’t the case everywhere, but in Hong Kong, one user said that having anything over 1,000 square feet is luxurious. Their average apartment size is somewhere around 600 square feet.
Cheaper Prices For Bigger Homes
In the United Kingdom, they pay more for less. Someone pointed out that they could get a villa in Florida for around the same price as a thee-bedroom house in the UK.
We’re Friendlier Than Expected
“People are really nice and talkative,” a Reddit user said. Depending on where you are, this is entirely true. You might have a few areas where the folks aren’t as welcoming, though.
We Make Great Music
Here’s something you can’t argue. No matter what genre you prefer, there’s an artist for you that hails from America. If you have to do some hunting on Spotify before you find someone, that’s even better.
Being Able To Turn At Red Lights
This one is pretty self-explanatory. Having the power to turn at a red light is different. While others have the ability to go in your direction, you’re over there, timing it like a jump rope game.

This one is in line with the earlier information about American’s being talkative and friendly. Some people’s kindness runs deep, and you can tell right away who is morally composed.
Rural Safety
Someone’s dream is to buy a farm and live peacefully, but it isn’t safe because it’s so dangerous. This person sees programs about people living on ranches and farms and said it looks wonderful.

It doesn’t seem like much, but to some people, it’s a lot. Getting free refills is a luxury, it would appear, but not something you think about if all you drink is water.

Now they’re saying “the country has everything!” From beaches to mountains, you don’t have to go far to get some nice nature scenes. The best part is that there are so many places with multiple sights to take in, such as a mountain overlooking the forest.
A Favorable Geographic Position
To be honest, the geographic position isn’t something that comes to mind. In school, you learn about it, but when you think about how southern California has perfect weather all year long, you can understand why some people like it.

As mentioned earlier, people get a kick out of SpaceX, so you can imagine how NASA makes them feel. Space travel is something not everyone can do and probably won’t ever experience in five lifetimes.

Trying to remember a phone number from the UK or Netherlands is a hassle. Thankfully, America has that figured out because it’s relatively easy to know a phone number from the top of your head.
Optimism

Thanks to many places having tons of people from different backgrounds, you can expect restaurants consisting of food from all over. Some aren’t what you hoped for, but the majority hit the spot.

We might be able to do this, but sometimes it’s for nothing. As of now, the voice of the people has managed to accomplish some things, but there’s still a lot that needs to happen.

There might be a stereotype that some Americans are lazy, but when a foreigner comes and sees things first-hand, they see the work ethic. Again, not everyone does it, but a good number of people do.

Simply put, without America’s contribution to the internet, people would have to communicate in real life more often. The introverts can appreciate that, but I’m unsure if this Reddit user was that.

Okay, not to brag, but America does produce the greatest games ever. Gamers around the world have the Americans to thank for all their late-night gaming with friends and strangers.
Loving Other People’s Accents
This is true, Americans love when foreigners have their accent intact. The British accents are some of the favorites, but others are amazing as well. I don’t know, they just sound cool.
