Among the many joys of parenthood is being the assigned chaperone for your kid’s class field trip, and by “joy” I mean “misery-inducing hellscape.” Sure, you love your kid, and maybe you even like some of their friends… but a whole bus full of kids, excited to be doing something out of the routine? That’s sure to send even the most patient parent into a minor bout of insanity.
If you don’t believe me, ask Simon Smith, a dad from the U.K. who recently accompanied his daughter and 59 of her classmates (yikes!) to the Kensington Museum. Along the way, he provided regular Twitter updates on the nightmare that was his day.

It started off innocently enough…
