Dealing with an outdated bureaucratic system can be pretty tiring at the best of times. Sometimes, institutions have rules that are completely pointless and truly boggle the mind.
One woman shared a story about the absurd bureaucracy at her university.
During her last semester, she was accepted to the graduate program at the same university.
That’s great, right?
It is… until paperwork and rules get involved, and it turns out there’s only one person for the entire university who issues and receives copies of degrees.
You can already tell this story is going places.
There’s only one person who can solve this kind of problem, and, unfortunately, she’s not exactly thrilled about having to do so.
It’s hard not to empathize with the woman who issues degrees at least a little bit. Why doesn’t the university hire a second person?
But no matter: after guessing when her degree might be ready, she heads to the office to double check.
That’s it right?
Except… no.
In case you forgot, the student now needs to turn that very same certified copy back into… the woman in the office.
Obviously, neither of them make the rules… but there’s a pretty clear winner and a loser here.
After all, it was way easier on the student for the woman to make the copy herself.
Like, way, way easier.
