I’m not saying I’m someone who is running perpetually late or anything, but let’s just say that I think we’ve all hopped in the car in a hurry at one point or another.
When you’re facing those types of moments – or when you’re driving along and realizing your visibility is quickly deteriorating – you definitely need to know how to defog those windows, and fast.

These tips come from former NASA engineer Mark Rober, so we know they’re well-researched and are the absolute fastest way to get the job done well.
Like any good scientist he ran experiments to find the best combination of steps, and what he came up with allowed him to get on his way in less than half the time – which is kind of amazing, when you think about it!
So, here are the four steps in order:

- Turn your heater on full blast.
- Turn your a/c on.
- Make sure the inside circulation is off.
- Crack your windows.

I always think it’s amazing what all we can figure out applying the scientific method – it’s almost like there don’t have to be any mysteries left in the universe if we have time to really get to them all.
