There are two types of people in the world – those that love The Office and those who haven’t yet seen The Office. Since the latter crowd is dwindling every day (thanks, Netflix!), it’s safe to assume that a vast portion of the people are going to be very pleased with the information in this post.
Out of all of the hilarious, terrible, sweet, and heartwarming moments of the series, Jim and Pam’s wedding is a favorite. Not only because we were all shipping them from the very beginning, or because we all love ugly crying at network television, but because of the iconic dance that the rest of the office brought to the scene.
It was based on a now-iconic viral dance video and has become a legend now on its own.
John Krasinksi is doing a web news show from home, one that only shares the good news of the world (bless him), and recently had two engaged Office super fans on the program.
The man, John, even proposed just like Jim did on the show – on one knee in front of a gas station.
Krasinski dropped a bomb on the starstruck couple, revealing that he’d gotten ordained online and was ready to officiate their wedding then and there.
Quite. A. Treat.
I was so thrilled for them! They were so happy!
The couples parents and friends joined the call, and so did Jenna Fischer (Pam).
They exchanged tearful vows, everyone was full of smile and cheers, but it wasn’t over yet.
Because Krasinski had arranged for another surprise. He told the couple that since they’d “ripped off the proposal” they might as well “rip off the wedding, too,” before hitting ‘play’ on the song Forever.
The rest of the cast joined the call, and yes – the dance ensued.
Michael kicked things off…
Before Meredith (and a bottle of vodka) hopped on the camera.
Oscar was busting a move in his backyard.
And so was Andy.
Dwight was totally in his serious character…
and enlisted someone’s help at home to recreate the kick to the face!
We saw Angela and her cat…
And Kevin and his Kleenex-box shoes.
Creed went all out for the occasion.
Even Ryan made an appearance!
Kelly showed up, oh my goodness!
And so did Erin…
Last but never least, Phyllis was there.
Here’s the full video (skip to 7:17 for the wedding and 15:04 for the reunion).
The couple was blown away, of course, and it looked like the cast was really enjoying getting back together for the recreation.
People online are also in love and bawling over the display – more proof that The Office is the thing bringing us all together, even in the toughest of times.
