Tech N9ne is one of the hardest working rhymers out there, and he’s been at it for a long time. The Kansas City rapper has a huge catalog of music, but one of his songs really gets the crowd going.
The tune is called “Areola” and it’s about…well, women’s breasts.
Tech N9ne meant for the song to be satirical, but it has taken on a life of his own, to the point where women take off their bras and throw them up on stage when the rapper performs it live. Which leaves him with a burning question…what to do with all those bras?
So the singer decided to donate all the bras to a shelter that helps women who are escaping from domestic violence situations. Tech N9ne says that he has bad memories of seeing his mother’s ex-boyfriend abuse her when he was young, and he wanted to help women in similar situations.
A few years ago in an Instagram post, he explained:
“I told them how I was one of those kids that had to witness my mom getting beat by an old boyfriend back when I was in 3rd and 4th grade and how we were always running to a relatives house to get away from him. They had no idea that I connected so well with women and children escaping life threatening abuse! “

It may seem a little unusual to some folks, but this guy is doing good work for a lot of people.
