As much as many of us really enjoy gardening, having a green thumb is harder and takes considerably more effort – and luck – than you might have thought going in. That said, even the greenest of gardening thumbs can struggle from time to time with certain plants, seasons, etc.
If you’ve got a bunch of dead potted plants sitting around your deck or your front porch, I’ve got some good news for you – they might still technically count as decor.
People are using Rustoleum spray to turn their brown, sad, dead plants into decorations that are honestly quite pretty and look as if they might have come from a store.
My favorites are the dead mums (every year, I swear, no matter how hard I try) that have been spray painted red or blue and lit up to become holiday decorations.
That’s a great way to feel as if you got your money’s worth out of those mums, right?
People make them in all sorts of colors, and any dead potted flowers are fair game.
These pinks and purples are bright and fun for spring and summer, and no matter how hot it gets, you won’t have to water them – bonus!
I’m not say you want to go into the season – or any season – with plant murder in mind, but when the inevitable happens, don’t you think those plants would be happier still looking pretty than dumped in the trash?
I think we all know the answer to that.
I can’t wait to see your creations!
