The Phantom Frappuccino at Starbucks Has Black Charcoal Powder and Green Slime. Spooky!

It’s time once again to enjoy all the Halloween-related food, drinks, parties, costumes, movies, etc. we can possibly handle because October 31 will be here and gone before you know it. Again. Which always makes me pretty depressed, but I guess it gives me something to look forward to next year.

The “Phantom Frappuccino” from Starbucks is here now for your enjoyment but you better grab it before the spooky season comes to an end. Move aside Pumpkin Spice Latte, you now have some fall competition.

People who have already sampled these babies say the taste is pretty fruity. The recipe calls for coconut milk, mango, pineapple essence, and crème Frappuccino syrup. You can also add coconut whipped cream with charcoal powder if you want to get extra spooky.

Oh, and that green slime? It’s made of spirulina extract, charcoal powder, and lime and lemon juice. So you don’t have to be worried about actual slime, okay?

Now here’s the bad news for those of us who live in the United States and a lot of the rest of the world. The drink is only available in Europe, and only until Halloween. Boo!

That was a real boo, not a cute, ironic boo for Halloween. I’m legitimately upset about this.

Buuuuut, I have a feeling it’s gonna be such a big hit that they’re bringing it over here next Halloween. Ask your local Starbucks about it. Or write your Congressman, I don’t know…

Do something so we can enjoy this in the U.S. I’ll do my part, too, friends!
