Buying clothes can be an exercise in frustration for guys, but it’s a whole different ballgame for women. Clothes sizes vary from brand to brand and a lot of times it ends up being a crapshoot that leaves ladies wringing their hands.
A Twitter user named Chloe recently posted a picture that very neatly expressed her annoyance with this unfortunate phenomenon.
Incase you’ve ever wondered why women get so frustrated with our clothing sizes – every pair of jeans pictured, is a size 12 pic.twitter.com/V88JAPQZTI

As you can see, that’s a whole bunch of jeans that look a lot different from each other but are all size 12.
Chloe continued…
And you know what’s even funnier, the very bottom pair fit me perfectly, the 2nd pair from the top, are too small, how does that even make sense when the top pair is bigger????

In another response, Chloe said, “No wonder women feel so insecure. I’ve had size 10 dresses, fit fine, then I’ll try on size 14 jeans that won’t even go past my hips, it’s not right”
Other Twitter users agreed with Chloe and offered their own thoughts.
I have a similar problem, and it’s to do with the rise – the height from the crotch to the waistband.
Higher waisted jeans fit me fine, lower rise jeans often cut across my stomach. Hence why an apparently smaller waisted pair fits you (and why I want to sew my own jeans!) ?

Anyway, back to the original tweet – I know exactly what you mean, I have clothes in my wardrobe ranging from a size 8 to a 16 – all of which fit me. Cannot figure out what size I am. I daren’t buy any clothes without trying it on – so no internet shopping for me

the other day I wore a pair of size 4 jeans with a size L jacket and a size XS top and it all fit

This is tragic, one pair is a size 4 and one pair is a size 10.. no difference at all pic.twitter.com/IXlI8LXrdG

Seems like a super annoying problem to have to deal with constantly.
Ladies, what do you think? Do you have a lot of issues like this with clothing?
