Face it, life is just a series of events preventing you from reading your book. Unless you are reading in this secret library in the woods of Upstate New York.
Designed by U.S.-based Studio Padron, this book lover’s haven is aptly called Hemmelig Rom, which is Norwegian for “secret room.”
English speakers may simply call it “heaven.”
It’s actually a guesthouse for a nearby vacation cabin. Outfitted with a snuggly bed, cozy stove and plenty of books, this little space has everything an avid reader needs to spend a blustery winter’s day.
The minimalist structure is modern in design and is made from the very oak trees that were cleared for its construction. Spaces between the oak logs make up the shelves laden with books.
Could there possibly be a more cozier place to curl up with a good book?
Only one little problem with this sweet library getaway. How could anyone possibly leave?
