This woman’s story on Reddit has earned her over 31.2k upvotes from people who respect the response she had when her boyfriend refused to buy her pads from the drugstore.

This story starts out with a fairly simple interaction between a boyfriend and girlfriend that ultimately leads to the end of a two-year relationship.

Most females know the struggle of getting their period unexpectedly. We’ve been conditioned to believe it’s embarrassing or shameful to accidentally get your period in public.

The reality is that menstruating is a natural part of being a woman and regardless of how far ahead you plan, sometimes Mother Nature has her own agenda.

As the woman explains, her period unexpectedly came early, and she ran out of pads. Worried that she would bleed through her pants going to the store on her own, she asked her boyfriend to pick them up for her.

Her boyfriend’s harsh refusal to buy them for her completely shocked her and left her questioning him.

His negative reaction to such a simple request made her realize how insecure and childish he was being.

She pointed out how fragile his masculinity was if he couldn’t even handle buying pads for his own girlfriend.

Ah, the classic emergency toilet paper pad. It’s not comfortable or a long-term solution but toilet paper can save a woman if she’s in a bind.

This Reddit user made herself “a makeshift pad” and wore black pants and a long cardigan so that she could make it to the store to buy more.

When she pressured him he admitted that he (ignorantly) associated males buying menstrual products with trans men.

This is wrong for so many reasons. Most trans men are very private when dealing with their menstrual cycle if they even experience one.
