When we go to the movies, we go for many reasons – to laugh, to cry, to think hard about something, to have our beliefs challenged – but first and foremost, we fork over that cash and our hard-earned free time so that we can be entertained.
It’s hard to be entertained while you’re trying to figure out what in the heck is happening, but that’s exactly the experience that these 12 people said they had – because these movies were just too confusing for words.
12. Barton Fink
I don’t know, y’all. I love the Coen brothers!
11. Mulholland Drive
I can’t believe I forgot about this one, but it definitely belongs on this list.
10. Memento
Maybe wanting to watch a movie more than once isn’t really a bad thing.
9. Enemy
I’ve never heard of this one, so it must be pretty bad, considering the star.
8. I’m Thinking of Ending Things
What is happening here, y’all? I haven’t the slightest idea.
7. The Matrix
I mean, I think they wanted us to watch it more than once.
6. Coherence
Kind of an ironic title, don’t you think?
5. Inception
I kind of think the whole idea was to get people talking and theorizing, etc.
4. The Fountain
Oh yeah, forgot about this one. Terrible movie, decent concept.
3. Suspira
We all went to see it because of the cast, but none of us knows what exactly we saw.
2. Predestination
The poor man’s Back to the Future.
1. Lost Highway
I’ve not seen this one but this image is freaking me out.
Yeah, I for sure agree with the ones I’ve seen and have no plans to see the ones I haven’t!
