The English language is a mashed up horror show of other languages – one that’s hard to understand and even harder to learn, if you’re not born into it.
But, true story… even native speakers might not be aware of all the ways it is so bizarre.
You know who IS aware? People on Tumblr (and a couple people on Twitter).
These 11 people show us that there’s quite a bit yet to learn about language… so let’s go learning!
11. We definitely need more ways to throw grammatical shade.
And this Tumblr user is going to give us A LOT to think about.
10. Make it stop?
Oh no… make it rain those synonyms!
9. All of the above.

3. I hate myself for reading all of that.
But I love myself for understanding all of it.
2. Then sometimes it’s so obvious that you miss it.
And, by the way, I love both pancakes and waterfalls… just not at the same time.
1. You can never un-read these.
But why would you want to?
Okay, so you’ve got all that? That was a lot knowledge being dropped on you, so I just want to make sure.
Me… I took in NONE of it. Oh well.
But that doesn’t have to be you! Go forth and sound smart!
