People mark all sorts of occasions with family photos these days: graduations, marriages, engagements, babies, and on and on. But what about people who are entering a different sort of life-phase, like having an empty nest again?
While many parents mourn the loss of their house full of children, Vicky Piper and her husband chose to see it as a reason to celebrate…and to get some professional photos of their own.
Their empty nest photos went viral, with over 200,000 people liking their cute choice to celebrate being just a couple of love birds again.
20 years ago we didn’t have gender ??reveal parties, portraits in beautiful fields with baby shoes to announce a pregnancy. Nor did we have baby photos on a blanket with a circle ⭕️ around a number showing how old they were. We drove ?our babies to sears or Olan Mills to get their photo???!!!!!

The pictures are adorable, and even though they’re looking forward to the next phase of life, I’m sure they’re going to miss those kiddos, too.
Then again, a chance to fall in love with your spouse again is goals!
As is not having plans every day, not needing to wake anyone up in the morning, and generally just not needing to be anywhere you don’t want to be on any given day.
