It seems a universal truth that whoever claims they don’t want a pet becomes the pet’s favorite person in the home, and vice versa. My partner definitely did not want the puppy we got, who I now find spooning him in his sleep on a regular basis.

There’s no way to fight a puppy, y’all.

My dad hated my previous cat Goldie because my dad worked away so Goldie wasn’t used to him. He’s also “dog person” and really wanted a dog. Reluctantly we got Soldier when Goldie passed away. They’ve been besties ever since.
