Remember that movie The Gods Must Be Crazy? The one where someone throws a Coke bottle from an airplane and some African tribesmen who have no contact with the outside world find it and believe it’s a gift from the gods?

Well, that was only a movie, but random stuff does fall from the sky sometimes and the stories can get straight up weird. Take a look at these 5 tales and remember to always keep your eyes peeled toward the heavens. You never know what might bonk you in the head.
1. Live lampreys

Forget about flying fish – back in 2015, there were multiple reports of LIVE lampreys falling from the sky in Fairbanks, Alaska. These eel-like creatures are creepy as all get out: they’re ancient bloodsuckers with a mouth full of teeth guaranteed to give you nightmares.
Authorities believe that gulls were picking the lampreys up out of rivers and dropping their prey from the sky on accident. Just one of the many dangers lurking around every corner in Alaska.
2. A whole lotta weed

This would probably be a dream come true for a lot of folks. In Nogales, Arizona in 2015, a couple was sleeping when they heard a loud crash on their property. They thought it was probably just a storm and went back to bed. The next morning, the couple discovered that a 26-pound package of marijuana had slammed through the roof of their carport.
Police theorized that the load of weed most likely fell from a smuggler’s airplane while crossing from Mexico into the U.S. The pilot obviously missed his target in this case.
3. POOP

This is probably the last thing you ever want to see descending from the bright, blue sky. Back in 2015, a 16-year-old girl’s backyard birthday party in Pennsylvania was, ahem, ruined when a literal shitstorm spoiled all the fun.
The likely culprit was an airplane doing a waste dump overhead (which, that’s a thing??). The girl’s stepfather said about the shitty incident, “It was brown. It was everywhere. It got on everything.” A Sweet 16 party no one will ever forget.
4. Apples

In 2011, the town of Keresley, England was bombarded by more than 100 apples that suddenly fell from above onto the small town’s main road.
One resident theorized, “Strange things do happen in this part of the world … We’re in an area with a spooky history, where there have been witches for centuries, after all.”
More reasonable explanations offered include the always-popular “fell from an airplane” theory or that a freak weather occurrence, like an incredibly strong wind current, picked up the apples and dropped them on the town.

5. Ice missiles
This one is pretty scary, and it isn’t an isolated incident. In London, a huge block of ice smashed onto a city street, missing a street cleaner by a very narrow margin. It happened again in Pennsylvania when an ice block fell from the sky and broke a car windshield at a dealership.
Some unlucky homeowners in California had an ice missile crash through their roof and land in a bathtub. It’s believed that the culprit, again, is those pesky airplanes. It’s relatively common for planes to build up pockets of ice at high altitudes that can suddenly dislodge from the aircraft and plummet to earth.
