So, you know how global climate change is slowly and methodically destroying our way of life, but our leaders aren’t doing anything about it? I mean, it’s literally the largest threat to the future of our planet and the fact that we don’t routinely have mass demonstrations across the world is kind of strange, right?

Well that just changed. Meet Greta Thunberg.

In 2018, she demonstrated ALONE on the steps of Swedish parliament to bring more attention to our collective inaction on climate change. She was 15 at the time.

Now she’s 16, and she just headed up a global school strike which saw hundreds of thousands of youth (and adults too) take to the streets across the world to hold rallies in over 2,000 locations in 123 countries.

Seriously, our children are definitely leading the way on this issue.

Thousands turned out in NYC:

In Milan, Italy:

In Dublin, Ireland:

In Copenhagen, Denmark…

In Ottawa, Canada:

In Barcelona, Spain:

Also, in Madrid, Spain:

In Lisbon, Portugal:

In Helsinki, Finland…

And over 25,000 in Berlin, Germany!

Feeling hopeful yet?

Well, how about seeing thousands show up in countries that don’t seem like they care about climate change as much.

In Hong Kong, China:

In Delhi, India:

In Cape Town, South Africa:

Folks, this is turning into a legit global phenomenon. And it is all thanks to one brave teen who just wouldn’t stand for inaction any longer.

You rock, Greta!
