Yes! It’s about time! Stan Lee died in November 2018 at the age of 95, but his incredible artistic legacy will live on forever (as we all know). I mean, the man pretty much invented the modern comic book industry. Now, Lee’s legacy will be acknowledged in another way besides his amazing body of work.

Part of University Avenue in the Bronx in New York City will be renamed “Stan Lee Way.” Lee attended DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and lived in the area in his younger years.

City Council member Fernando Cabrera represents this area of the Bronx, and he proposed the idea. Cabrera said, “Mr. Lee’s amazing talent brought joy and entertainment to countless children and adults and he deserves to be permanently memorialized in his home borough, the Bronx.”

It was evident that Lee was greatly missed at the recent San Diego Comic-Con with a number of tributes being paid to the master.

Lee was so beloved by fans, and he felt the same way about them. In one of his final interviews, Lee said,

“Sometimes at night, I am sitting here and I’m thinking ‘What’s it all about?” And then I get a letter from a fan or I read something or I see something or I remember something. And I realize, it’s so lucky to have fans, fans who really care about you.”

The list of Lee’s work is almost unbelievable: Spider-Man, The Avengers, Daredevil, The Silver Surfer, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, Ironman. The list goes on…

You are missed, sir.
