People Get It on a Lot More Around Christmas, and the Baby Boom Every September Is Proof

A new study shows that people have more sex around Christmas, and there’s a baby boom nine months later. To further drive the point home, the study shows that this phenomenon holds true all over the world. So people in Chicago are having as much sex around Christmastime as folks in Germany, for example.

The research also showed that cultural celebrations for religions other than Christianity also brought out the sexiness. In Muslim-majority countries, the end of Ramadan causes a similar peak. But for some reason, Thanksgiving and Easter don’t show the same spikes. Too much food, maybe?
