A Human Adopted a Duckling That Was Rejected by Her Mother

If you’re in the mood for an adorable story about how opposites attract and how humans and animals can become just like family, then today is your lucky day!

A duckling whose mother rejected her was adopted by a woman named Erin Amadon and Amadon named the duck Bea.

Amadon found that Bea had been left behind and she luckily walked by right as the duckling was hatching from her egg a day after her siblings had already been born.

She said,

“There were many unhatched eggs, so on my way back through I stopped at the nest, just to confirm they were all duds. Well! It’s a good thing I did because this little bugger was actively hatching!!!

It hatched a full day after the rest of the clutch. tried for hours to get mama to go back to her nest. At sundown, baby was still resting and mama wanted nothing to do with it.

I knew it wouldn’t survive the night and my conscious just wouldn’t let me ignore it.”

The two are now constant companions and Bea follows Amadon everywhere.

And look at how big Bea has gotten!
