This story made my blood boil, and I have a feeling it’ll do the same to you, too. Simply put, this is why some people should never, ever be allowed to own pets.
A woman exchanged texts with someone who was desperately looking to get rid of her dog. She said the poor pooch was going to be euthanized if no one took her because she had to put her in a shelter.
Our friendly hero stepped in and offered to give the dog a home, and the story just got stranger and more infuriating from there.

Then the owner laid this on the Good Samaritan.

Unbelievable. The woman reiterated that she would be doing the owner, and the dog, a favor.

Then the (horrible) owner tried to make the woman feel guilty.

To make the situation even worse, the woman realized that they didn’t even live IN THE SAME STATE. But she does have a cousin who lives nearby, so she tried to make it work.

The woman and her cousin each agreed to put in $50 each for a total of $100 to get the dog out of what was obviously a terrible situation. They rescued the dog but then discovered signs of abuse and neglect. They brought her to a vet and tried to get the previous owner to send the dog’s medical records.
And things got ugly again.

The woman had finally had enough and ended the conversation.
