Usually, giant overhauls of classic movies don’t go over too well. Take George Lucas’s bizarre re-release of the Star Wars original trilogy, for example.
Sometimes, though, the internet know just how to make hilarious edits of the most treasured movies.
One such hero is Mélissa Delteil, who went through these stills from Jurassic Park and replaced all the dinosaurs with ferrets.
Some of these edits make the scene even more heartbreaking. Can you imagine having to care for a giant dying ferret?
Other edits bring to life what would be an absolute nightmare.
Yeah, nope. Not an issue that anyone would want to deal with.
Don’t be fooled by all the fur. Ferrets can be vicious – maybe even more so than Velociraptors.
Okay, this one is straight up comedy gold.
To top it all off, here’s a special edit from the reboot.
Naturally, the internet popped off after seeing these amazing stills. The post went viral on multiple social media platforms, receiving over 50,000 likes and more than 44,000 shares in total. Reviews from the rest of the web are in, and they’re raves.
In her original post, Delteil recalls that her friend showed her an older series of photo edits where the Jurassic Park dinosaurs were replaced with cats and challenged her to do the same – this time, with ferrets. Naturally, Delteil accepted the challenge.
Thank goodness she did, or else we wouldn’t have all of this ferret-y epic-ness.
