The creepy houses of horror films look so ominous and menacing on the big screen, but what do they look like in real life- and where in the world are they?? Well, if you live in the Northeast or near Los Angeles, you’re probably also in dangerous proximity to one of the many terrifying houses of horror-film fame. Luckily, we’ve got a cool map to warn you.

Check out the map below – but please remember, not all of these homes are open to the public (many are private residences used in filming with the permission of the owners). Make sure to do some Googling before you show up expecting a tour!
