As the seasons pass, China’s Panjin Red Beach drastically changes in appearance. Its alkaline-tolerant seaweed changes color as it absorbs more and more saltwater- so each spring, it starts out green, turns a vibrant red in autumn, and darkens to purple in October before dying off. Source Source 2
