In 2018, the first-ever troop of homeless Girl Scouts started selling cookies and immediately crushed their goal. NYC’s Troop 6000, which is comprised entirely of children who live in homeless shelters, wanted sell 6,000 boxes by the end of the season- so they acquired permission to sell at the Kellogg’s café in Union Square.
