The scene in Spider-Man where Peter catches Mary Jane’s tray in the school cafeteria was not created with CGI. Aside from using glue to secure his grip on the tray, the sleight-of-hand stunt was entirely performed by Tobey Maguire. It took him 156 takes to get it just right. Source Source 2
