Are you still mourning the end of Game of Thrones? Many of us are. But as we continue to contemplate the ending of one of the biggest (and most expensive) television series ever, HBO has a special gift for fans.

Game of Thrones: The Last Watch is the upcoming HBO documentary giving a behind the scenes look at all the magic and emotion from the last season. And from the trailer it appears the fans weren’t the only ones who had a hard time giving the show up – the cast in crew were in tears as they said good-bye.

Kit Harington (John Snow) gets choked up in the last table read for the show as D.B. Weiss says, “Here we are at the last table read. It’s like looking around and seeing your family.”

And it truly was family for those on the show. Many long term friendships and relationships bloomed within GoT production, including, famously, that of Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) who are now bffs.

And who can forget Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) falling in love and getting married like a couple of free folk!

Whether you liked or hated the ending, this documentary should not be missed. Above all GoT was truly incredible – a once in a lifetime cultural event.

The documentary airs Sunday, May 26th.
