I identify as a horror film fanatic, so uncovering these codes is like Christmas Day for me!
Netflix has a whole bunch of hidden categories that you can explore with secret codes and we’re here to let you in on it!
To access each of these individual categories, sign into Netflix and replace the “xxx” in this web address (www.netflix.com/browse/genre/xxx) with the corresponding code number below OR just click directly on the links we provided. This WILL NOT work unless you’re signed in, so just make sure you don’t forget that step.
Are you ready to get creeped out?
Let’s get started!
1. B-Horror Movies (8195)
I love B-horror movies! They’re usually low budget, gory, and a lot of fun!
Take the move in the picture above, for example. Killer Klowns from Outer Space. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you change that ASAP.
If you enter this code, you can see that film as well as others like Death House and The Black Room.
2. Creature Features (6895)
Have you ever seen the movie Tremors? It’s a monster movie from 1990 that stars Kevin Bacon and the always-amazing (and underrated) Fred Ward and it is AWESOME.
Tap into this category to see this and other creature features like Shark Night and Dark Light.
3. Horror Comedy (89585)
When horror-comedy is done the right way, it is wonderful. The photo above is from Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, a great example of this genre.
This category will also let you watch such movies as Scary Movie, Little Evil, and Murder Party.
4. Monster Movies (947)
I think we can all agree that most people out there love a good monster movie.
By accessing this secret category on Netflix, you can enjoy Cloverfield, Godzilla, and Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, among others.
5. Slasher and Serial Killer Movies (8646)
This is BY FAR my favorite sub-genre of horror films. It all started for me with Halloween and Friday the 13th back when I was young.
Some of the films you can watch with this code include Candyman, Terrifier, and the original Child’s Play from 1988.
6. Supernatural Horror Movies (42023)
If you like your horror movies to have a hint of the supernatural, this category is for you.
Enjoy the very creepy Sinister, The Witch, and Insidious among others when you utilize this code.
7. Teen Screams (52147)
Teenagers and horror movies just go hand-in-hand, don’t they?
You bet they do!
The “Teen Screams” category in Netflix features such films as Final Destination, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, and Death Note.
8. Zombie Horror Movies (75405)
Zombies are all the rage these days and here’s your opportunity to have a zombie fest any time you want to!
This category has The Evil Dead, Train to Busan, Rampant, and others for your viewing pleasure.
9. Satanic Stories (6998)
What good are all these scary movies if there’s not any Satanism included?
You just gotta have it! The “Satanic Stories” category allows you to watch the original version of The Wicker Man from 1973, The Devil Inside, The 9th Precinct, and others.
Alright horror fans, we want to hear from you.
