I don’t know one single person who drives a car that doesn’t, at some point in the winter or early spring, hit a pothole so big they feel the need to actually apologize to their car.
Potholes are annoying, they’re dangerous, and they end up costing all of us thousands of dollars in alignments, yet they just seem to be an unavoidable part of life.
If you think your country’s are the worst, though, these people might have something to say about that – and you might have to agree after comparing photographs.
14. It almost looks like a quilt.
They did such a nice job smoothing them out.
13. There are more patched roads than untouched pavement.
I think it’s actually the same everywhere.
12. Y’all, a whole car fit in there.
A small one, but still a whole car.
11. Oh my land.
Those look more like sinkholes to me.
10. Where is the road?
You don’t even need a manhole cover.
9. Of course this is Portland.
I would expect nothing less.
8. That man is six feet tall.
I’d be afraid I’d fall into the earth.
7. That is a crater.
Was it formed by a meteorite or what?
6. Potholes, shmotholes.
We only do it big here.
5. How much rain, exactly?
A monsoon?
4. It lives there now.
Along with the toads and snakes and bugs that occupy it.
3. These don’t even look real.
How can you drive through those?
2. Well that’s terrifying.
Pretty much my worst fear to be honest.
1. Look at that lorry in front of the bike.
My jaw is on the ground right now.
Those are giant, y’all. Can’t we figure out how to fix this problem once and for all?
Do you have an idea? Drop it in the comments and maybe we can change the world!
