It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood because toymaker Funko recently announced that they will be releasing a Pop! version of everyone’s favorite neighbor – Mister Rogers. The release is timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the beginning of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
The news, which first broke at the New York Toy Fair, comes as a delight to millions of fans around the world. I, for one, can’t wait to get one of these and turn my desk into a neighborhood.
Along with the standard Pop! figurine of Mister Rogers (where he’s holding the Neighborhood Trolley), Funko is also releasing a Mister Rogers Pop! keychain and the absolutely adorable plush toy seen below.

But wait, that’s not all! There will actually be three different versions of the Pop! figurine – the “standard” version (linked above), a Funko Shop exclusive with a blue sweater, and a Barnes & Noble special edition featuring a red sweater and a King Friday puppet.

The ever-changing, seemingly endless supply of colored cardigans that Mister Rogers wore on his show were actually an incredibly sweet part of the show since his mother knitted all of them – so it’s lovely to see them represented here.
Can’t wait to get your hands on the whole collection? Sorry, but you’ll have to be patient (a lesson Mister Rogers continues to teach us!) because they won’t be released until June 1st. However, you are currently allowed to pre-order them from Amazon.
