New Zealand Is so Tired of Being Left off Maps They’ve Launched an Entire Ad Campaign

New Zealand – a country many people know as the place where the Lord of the Rings movies were filmed (and director Peter Jackson’s homeland) – is lovely. It’s got lovely people, too. Yet for some reason, it keeps getting left off maps. There’s actually an entire Reddit thread dedicated to it.

Well, New Zealand is tired of that s*** and they’re speaking up. The country’s tourism department has launched a new campaign to #getNZonthemap, starting with a commercial starring Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) and Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. They’ve got some theories as to why this omission is happening…

… All I’m gonna say is Australia better watch its back.
