Ohio State’s Marching Band Rocks Some Pretty Impressive Tributes to Comic Books, TV, Bands, and Movies

I’ve been to a few college football games in my life and, if I’m being honest, I’ve was never really WOWED by any halftime shows.

But by the looks of what the Ohio State Marching Band has been up to, college bands have really upped the ante in recent years.

Here’s a video showing the Buckeye band paying tribute to various comic book superheroes during a halftime show when Ohio State took on Nebraska in 2016.

And check out this video when the band tackles the video game world, including such favorite games as Tetris, The Legend of Zelda, Halo, and a host of others.

In this halftime show from 2014, the band tackled a “TV Land” theme.

We love it!

Here the marching band got really creative and paid tribute to such films as Harry Potter and Superman.

The Buckeyes were even brave enough to take on the music of legendary rock group Rush.

Here they played their versions of such Rush songs as “Tom Sawyer”, “YYZ”, “Limelight”, and “2112”.

And finally, take some time to enjoy the Ohio State Marching Band covering songs from another classic rock band, the mighty Van Halen!

You know these hits! “Jump”, “Panama”, “Dreams”, and “Runnin’ with the Devil”!

Those Buckeyes can really do it all, don’t you think?!?!
