Seeing This Guy’s ‘Mask’ of Blackheads Get Cleared Away Is Proof That Popping Videos Help People.

You should feel very good about your addiction to “popping” videos, because you help people overcome skin conditions that can have a major impact on their quality of life—like Dr. Pimple Popper’s patient known affectionately as the “Masked Man.” The patients who appear in these videos get their visits for free in exchange for permission to show them online—making non-medically-necessary visits to a dermatologist affordable for people with low incomes or bare-bones insurance plans. It’s not always just acne, either. Some of it is…bigger.

When the Masked Man first came into Dr. Sandra Lee’s office, his blackheads were so thick and numerous that they resembled a Mike Tyson-esque face tattoo. At this point, they were so tough and hardened that this first pass was just weakening their defenses:

But thanks to the hands-on treatment and medicine Dr. Lee prescribed, the Mask was ready for maximum extraction in this extremely explosive second visit (which is in two parts):

Even though it has the fewest blackheads, the third visit is the most satisfying. You get to see Dr. Lee finish her project, and you can see that the Masked Man is now just a man who has his face back (also in two parts).

(UPDATE 6/29): The masked man is back for a nice facial now that he looks great.

So, the next time someone says you’re weird for watching these, just remember: they’re terrible people for not watching these.
