I have a feeling that 99.999% of us are sleep deprived, so maybe we all need to figure out the best way to get more ZZZZZZZZZs every night, right? Well, then you should definitely take a look at a recent study that might make you reconsider your current sleeping arrangements.
The study tracked 900 women and how their sleep was affected by the people and animals (dogs and cats) they shared their beds with.
Surprisingly, the results showed that the least disruptive sleep occurred when women slept with their dogs. Take that, humans! (And cats). According to scientists, while dogs can disrupt a woman’s sleep, it’s still less likely to happen than with either people or cats.
But wait, there’s more. The study also found that women with dogs tend to go to bed earlier than the other two groups, and that snoozing with a pooch offers more comfort than sleeping with a human or a feline. That’s not going to make some people, or cats, feel good, I reckon…
So if you’re a woman, next time your partner tells you to get the dog out of the bed, give them their walking papers and send them to Sofa City. Then you and your doggo will have a great night’s sleep.
